In the May 29 release of EP In Every Fall, Tim Gent displays his rapid growth as an artist and absolutely deserves the hype. The Clarksville native continues to improve his established strong suit of layering his music with honest lyrics, passion, and emotion. The project features sentimental stories of faith, growth, life, and death, as each track contains a hook that relates back to faith regardless of struggle. The title In Every Fall fits the tone of the project, as he talks about always getting back to his roots through all of life’s hardships and struggles.
Tim Gent yet again shows off his strength of matching his spiritual lyrics with head-bobbing instrumentals. The instrumentals on the project highlight blues style guitars, melodic chimes, jazzy saxophones, and powerful synth tones, all accompanying the main beat to match his strong, multi-dimensional flow. The concluding song of the EP, “What I Think Of pt. 2” tells an emotional story of Tim Gent’s life struggles and his inspiration to move forward. His powerful and emotional voice drives the incredibly impassioned song and preaches an uplifting message anyone can get behind. Tim Gent continues to prove his ability to grow as an artist, and this EP is just a step in his journey.
