Happy Nuance Friday! It’s time to celebrate that the first month of 2025 is done with a timeline cleanse. Luckily, we’ve got some incredible new music to share from fresh voices on the rise.
Journey Montana – Lucky Girl Syndrome
Rising R&B star Journey Montana unveils her highly-anticipated debut album, Lucky Girl Syndrome, out today via 10K Projects. Produced by Grammy Award winner DJ Camper, the album sees Montana’s voice shine over a polished, dreamy array of R&B orchestration. Writing the entire album herself, each track feels like a distinct chapter in her personal story that is unapologetically honest, demonstrating why she’s one of R&B's most exciting new faces in R&B.
The Walters – Good Company
Chicago-bred, LA-based indie quartet The Walters announce their upcoming debut album, Good Company (out March 28), with wildly catchy new track “Life On The Line,” and an accompanying music video.
Jake Troth – “Manor (Do You Love Me Yet)”
LA-based indie artist Jake Troth shares heartfelt new single “Manor (Do You Love Me Yet),” a moving homage to the concept of “home.” Unfortunately, Troth and his wife were among the many Angelinos to lose their home in the Altadena fire earlier this month. To learn more about his story, click here.
Uche – “HERE I GO”
LA-based rapper and creative Uche shares new single, “Here I Go,” alongside a self-directed, AI-assisted music video that teases the ambitious, dark sound of his upcoming two-part album HOW TO DIE.
joan – “Magic”
Alt-pop duo joan share new single “Magic” via Photo Finish Record with an accompanying music video.
Cameron Whitcomb – “Hundred Mile High”
Rising singer-songwriter Cameron Whitcomb shares new larger-than-life single “Hundred Mile High.”
