Six-foot seven-inch LA rapper Kenndog has released a new single “Fresh Prince of the Eastside” in which he crowns himself royalty. The song fits in Kenndog’s self-created mix of nineties South Central G-Funk and modern internet-breaking boundlessness genres.

The song was influenced by the all-time favorite “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” theme song performed by Will Smith. “Fresh Prince of the Eastside” begins with a news broadcast and a verse paralleling the opening verse of the beloved theme song. The common threads continue throughout the song which is a refreshing mix of comfortable familiarity and intriguing ingenuity.

Kenndog’s remix of “Beethoven” has also recently been used by the GVSU Laker Dance Team, which led the Michigan-based team to win the 2022 College Classic National Championship, which the team then posted to TikTok.

“Fresh Prince of the Eastside” follows Kenndog’s recent single “DooWop” and his remix of “Beethoven” which went viral on TikTok last year, even earning a sound use from Charli D’Amelio. The official music video boasts over 17 million views on YouTube.
