ECHLO, a.k.a. Chloe Charles, is set to release her new single “Soul Savant” on June 24th following her well-loved single “Puppeteer”. Both songs come off of ECHLO’s upcoming album, I Was I, as her music grows a buzz across platforms with her song “Beautifully Cruel” appearing on the popular Netflix show, Elite.
Hailing from Toronto, Canada, ECHLO has been on her music journey since 2010. Originally focusing on jazz and folk-type music, ECHLO’s new song promises a dark twist on pop music. ECHLO has been influenced by artists such as Sade and Massive Attack.
In “Soul Savant,” ECHLO utilizes live percussion along with electronic sounds to create unique music that speaks to both listeners and herself. ECHLO’s voice trails over the rhythm creating a melody and message that feels at home on the silver screen.
“Soul Savant” is relatable for those who have experienced an uncanny type of connection with another human being. It is about a connection that seems to have formed somewhere out of this world, with the person inherently knowing you on a spiritual, emotional, and physical level.
