Versus.xx’s new track, “wings.xx” demonstrates the rising Los Angeles-based producer/singer’s personally-crafted brand of mood music that blends a mesmerizing pop-melodies over an explorative trap instrumental. Versus.xx exhibits his production abilities on the self-produced track, floating vocally over tight-drums riding the first layers of synth reverb before the beat switches to the fulfilling acoustic guitar lick. Raised in Azusa, CA (30 miles from Los Angeles), versus.xx grew up listening to artists like Erykah Badu, Kanye, Bon Iver, and Bjork and grew a passion for music. Moving to Los Angeles to pursue his passion, versus.xx now creates music that sounds like you threw his favorite artists into a blender-- and it’s somehow wonderful. His cultivation prowess shines through in versus.xx’s creative control over his music; performing, producing, mixing, mastering, creating the album art, and even adding an inventive “.xx” tag to all his music to achieve creative continuity.
