On Wednesday, June 30, artist on-the-rise KYLE LUX dropped a video for his newest single titled “I Went Out.” Co-directed by Kyle himself, this music video beautifully accompanies the single, exploring the freedom and joy derived from going out with friends. The song itself boasts synthetic beats and popping drums, making for a perfectly dizzy arrangement. The song uses rhythm and groove to convey the feeling of going out again, a feeling we have all been missing for a while. It can be scary to step out of the house again, but simply play this song and, as Kyle says, “ain’t long till I’m feeling so good.”
“I Went Out” follows previous singles from KYLE LUX, such as “Are You in Love?” and “Rollin’ Stone,” which has nearly 7 million streams on Spotify. Whereas these singles take on a more mellow, R&B tone, “I Went Out” embraces an upbeat, pop sound, perfect for partying and, as KYLE LUX talks of in the song, dancing. As quarantine finally starts to come to an end and it becomes safer to venture outside, we are in need of a new kind of music for our new world. “I Went Out” is just that. So, as you put on your party clothes and head outside again, make sure you bump KYLE LUX as you do. And don’t forget to dance.
