With the Pharrell-orchestrated Something in the Water Festival right around the corner, the legendary producer releases his new song “Cash In Cash Out,” enrolling 21 Savage and Tyler, the Creator for help. 2022 has been quite the production year for Skateboard P having his fingerprints all over the albums of Pusha T’s It’s Almost Dry and Nigo’s I Know NIGO!
Talking with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, Pharrell described acquiring the services of the two hip-hop heavyweights for his latest single saying “I knew the track was aggressive, and it doesn’t let up. So it’s like those are the two. It’s like letting two pit bulls loose.” 21 and Tyler did just that by both attacking the hostile production with the ferocity of a rabid Cujo.
21 Savage boasts “Pharrell made this so it’s a million-dollar beat,” during the song acknowledging what we already know how opulent the production quality sounds with the bass also punching harder than Mike Tyson in his prime. Also another superb verse from Tyler channeling his character from the Grammy Award-winning album Call Me If You Get Lost.
Not only is the song a hit but the music video attached is a lively and enthralling experience that goes hand in hand with the record. Tyler even transforms into a woman’s body in the midst of the visuals.
The hunger from Pharrell to keep striving to be the best after being in the music industry for over twenty years and counting is what transcends him to being one of the all-time greats.
