Indigo Sparke Releases Music Video for “Colourblind” on New Album "Echo"

Indigo Sparke, the Australian-born singer-songwriter, recently releases a music video for a new single titled “Colourblind,” which is featured on her new album Echo. This record follows Sparke’s release of singles and 2016 album Nightbloom, a collection of moody and serenade-worthy tracks.

Echo, co-produced by the folk star, Adrienne Lenker, is an album that has been breathed with airy life. It is exactly what an ethereal record should sound like: dreamy and dripping with softness. With Sparke’s Australian accent shining through on a few singles, the overall musical notes the singer hits are soothing, nostalgic—the perfect cue to lift open windows for fresh air. “Colourblind,” specifically, hits listeners with similar sounds to Blue Grass ballads and twangy melodies that are catchy and ponder some at the same time.

Sparke’s music is quickly on the rise, especially since she made a debut on NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert where she performed her latest singles and other hits such as “The Day I Drove My Car Around the Block” and “Burn.”

Compared to her previous music, what makes Sparke’s new album different and eye-catching is that Echo, in its entirety, is the perfect accompaniment to a long-anticipated spring—it’s a record we didn’t know we needed.
