Heavily blues influenced alternative singer Wiley From Atlanta comes out with his first release of 2020 titled “Sex.MP3 (demo 003).” His distinct raspy voice paired with a lethargic pace and vibey guitar riff crafts a nostalgic type of love song.
Clever word play and smooth transitions carry listeners to a dream world filled with soothing tones. Although a rather short track, Wiley From Atlanta refuses to be forgotten as he picks up where he left off with his unique voice and one of a kind style in today’s music industry. “Meet me at the tipping point/ Pour one out then top me off/ Fall in love then fall back off/ The chip ain’t fall far from the block” using clever wordplay and thoughtful metaphors to describe finding love in physicality. The slow pace on the drum track sets the tone for the other instruments and crafts a simple yet dynamic track where the instrumentals complement the vocals, which has typically been his main strength. The song stays on par with his themes being centered around love tropes, an interesting and appealing spin on a classic topic.
