Keep your eye on the name Var$ity. On March 30, the NY born Atlanta-Miami raised artist released his newest project, a five-song EP appropriately titled Quarantined. As soon as the first beat of the EP pops in your headphones it is clear that Var$ity has been doing anything but wasting his time in lockdown. Shades of Tory Lanez with a new-age Atlanta twist, and clear expression that Var$ity’s finger is on the pulse of the rap game. The song Don’t Miss featuring Jozzy brings the EP full circle, showcasing Var$ity’s dynamics and ability to venture into more vocal territory. Var$ity has been creating music on and off for about a decade, but now it seems that the industry is finally starting to shift its gaze toward him. Var$ity’s close friendship with big-name producer Ronny J is also worth noting. When discussing their relationship and musical partnership, Var$ity said, “RJ my bruddah for real… we got a million in da vault, no cap.” Var$ity will be dropping another project in about one month, so mark your calendars. Var$ity said, “you can expect me to be millionaire soon…”. Listen to Quarantined and I bet you’ll agree with him.
