Highlighting a favorite recent NUANCE Submission, French-Canadian Singer/Songwriter Sophie Breton shares a slice of dreamy, introspective indie-pop on her new single “Slow Driver.” Centered around intimate acoustic guitar plucks and Breton’s smooth vocal melodies, the song feels like a reflective solo drive down a picturesque highway and the nagging anxieties that can’t be outrun.
“Slow Driver” describes feeling behind in life and not knowing which route to take when on the creative path. The song reflects the journey of the Quebec-born singer, as since 2019, Sophie Breton has been forging her own path into the music industry, inspired by other female artists doing the same after they grew tired of waiting for opportunities.
Building off the foundation of her debut EP Not Today, “Slow Driver” exemplifies what Sophie Breton does best: create thoughtful, sensitive, and relaxing indie-pop records. We at Nuance are excited to hear what she’s serving next.
