How are we, Nuance fam? It’s Friday, the day of Venus, and love in all its forms is in the air. Through our musical explorations this week, we’re delighted to say we’ve found a well of talented people expressive their love on stunning new tracks, so you can just sit back and let the feels do the rest.

McCall – …To Be a Dream…

LA singer/songwriter McCall drops her debut LP ...To Be a Dream…, synthesizing impressive vocals and intimate lyricism into carefully constructed hyper-pop portraits, creating a project worth getting truly excited about, featuring the exhilarating break-up anthem “Perfect Timing,” the feedback-heavy layers of regret on “Ties,” and the euphoric ode to self-criticism “Easy.”

Cavetown – “Grocery Store”

Cavetown releases new single, “Grocery Store,” a track that pairs sweet layers of melodies with charming lyricism to form the perfect sentimental, bedroom pop vibe. The Cambridge-based Cavetown, aka Robin Skinner (he/they), has been paving a way for the sub-genre and transgender artists since the mid-2010s, culminating in a sell-out US Tour earlier this year.

Blu DeTiger x Biig Piig – “Crash Course”

New York bassist turned pop-star Blu DeTiger teams up with Irish artist Biig Piig for the new track “Crash Course,” the two exuding cool confidence with slick harmonies over a retro-electro beat featuring (of course) an absolutely hypnotizing bassline.

Steve Lacy – Gemini Rights

The Internet’s talented axman Steve Lacy releases his sophomore album Gemini Rights–displaying a polishing and progression of his intoxicating modern California soul-funk sound with glimmering tracks like “Bad Habit,” while exploring new influences like the bossa-nova of “Mercury”and traditional pop on “Sunshine (feat. Fousheé).”

Oliver Tree – “Placeholder”

The Santa Cruz madman Oliver Tree drops a new single, “Placeholder,” a pop-punk slapper inspired by an elegant place card for a seat that never got filled. Produced by Tree, Travis Barker and Nick Long, the track is off the upcoming Deluxe release of his sophomore album Cowboy Tears.

Kid Cudi – A Kid Named Cudi (Streaming Release)

Kid Cudi delivers his fans a gift once again this summer, finally releasing a remastered version of his iconic 2008 mixtape A Kid Named Cudi
