Julia Jacklin plans to release her third album, Pre Pleasure, on August 26th, to be immediately followed by a world tour. Her new song, “I Was Neon,” is out now on all streaming platforms with the music video on YouTube.

The music video follows Julia Jacklin through an intimate-sized house while she is donned in a brocaded paisley evening gown, bright teal gloves, and an electric guitar. The song centers around feelings of being lost in your own body and soul. “Am I going to lose myself again?” is a main theme that the rhythmic guitar and drums center around while the camerawork itself centers the frame around Julia Jacklin, alluding to the internal struggle that the singer is referencing.

The upcoming world tour is scheduled to kick off in Stanford, California, on August 26th, the release date of the album. Julia Jacklin performs her way through the United States with a few Canada concerts sprinkled intermittently throughout the schedule until October 8th. Beginning November 3rd, Julia Jacklin is back on stage in the UK and Europe until December 1st. Tickets available here.
