Chattanooga native Isaiah Rashad just finished up his tour for his new album, The House Is Burning, with a set of shows in his home state of Tennessee. The tour, titled “Lil’ Sunny’s Awesome Vacation,” included 42 stops across the country, beginning in Boston, Massachusetts and ending in his home city of Chattanooga, Tennessee. Rashad featured several special guests, including Childish Major and Ray Vaughn across the tour, however, he sold out all but a few of the shows due to his aggressively loyal fans who had been waiting years for this project.
In fact, Isaiah Rashad’s The House Is Burning was his first full length album he had released in over five years, following his sophomore album The Sun’s Tirade. He released the album with TDE Records, who has brought up rap legends such as Kendrick Lamar, Jay Rock, Ab Soul, and Schoolboy Q. While TDE artists have grown somewhat of reputation for their painstaking perfectionism, they consistently prove that their albums are worth the wait… even if it does mean waiting over five years. Certainly none of Isaiah Rashad’s fans are complaining about the 16 track masterpiece now that it has finally hit the shelves.
Rashad’s album also featured Nuance Issue #05 artist Devin Malik, and Issue #04 artist Amindi on several tracks. Malik produces “Darksied,” “All Herb (feat. Amindi),” “True Story (feat. Jay Roc and Jay Worthy),” “Chad (feat. YGTUT),” and “9-3 Freestyle,” while Amindi is featured on the song “All Herb.” Those two artists also worked together on Amindi’s album, Nice.
