Deante’ Hitchcock follows up his debut album, Better, with a deluxe version featuring 10 new tracks and features from 6LACK, Guapdad 4000, Kenny Mason, Miguel, and St. Beauty. Hailing from Atlanta, Deante’ Hitchcock is a throwback to a southern-lyrical style in the vein of T.I. or J.Cole. He has built a following through online freestyles and an impressive discography concluding in his breakout 2016 mixtape Good, the first installment in a trilogy followed by Better and to be concluded by his next album Best.
His 10-track debut, Better, which dropped in May, rose Hitchcock’s profile to star-status with tracks that exuded a similar bounce and creative energy of the Revenge of the Dreamers recording-process that Hitchcock played a key role in like “I Got Money (feat. JID)” and “Attitude (feat. Young Nudy).”
With the new Better (Deluxe) version, Hitchcock gifts his fans a virtual double-cd with 10 new tracks that build off the first’s core sounds and characteristics of southern-bounce and lyricism with tracks like “How TF (feat. 6LACK)” and “How Does it Feel (feat. Kenny Mason)” while mixing in more melodic-cuts like “Deja Vu (feat. Guapdad 4000)” and “Flashbacks (feat. Miguel & St. Beauty).”
Deante’ Hitchcock continues to rise in the Atlanta rap-scene through the thoughtfulness in his lyrics and craft, creating the foundation for this trilogy years ago for an epic buildup to the final chapter of his trilogy, since Best is yet to come.
