Camo! makes his jump from the sidelines with his debut project Waterboy, which follows the emphatic spitter flow with confidence over both hard-hitting bangers like “Shoot,” and create intricate melodies over bouncy cuts like the title-track “Waterboy.”

The project’s opener, “Forrest Gump,” sets the project’s playful tone through the concept-linking intro and Camo!’s witty-bars over a dreamy bed of muted keys. Late-night club slitherers like “Vr” and “Powerball (feat. K$upreme)” also find a home within this 17 track juggernaut. Camo! and T$an drop an absolute banger with “Till Death,” where both trade metrically-slurred bars reflecting the drunken bop of the tracks thumping 808s. “Uhhh (feat. J Dlux)” takes the project’s theme of minimalist bangers and runs circles with it, as the two triumphantly stunt over a minimalist 808 groove with such emphasis you can feel the boots stomping in the booth. The project picks up from there with the joyous bounce of “Past the Sun (feat. Brazy5rings),” highlighting Camo!’s ability to create an infectious melody you can keep on repeat for days. Camo! earns his exclamation point on tracks like “Pop Shit,” an adrenaline injection of pure energy. With the impressively crafted mixtape Waterboy, Camo! takes our Dangerous Artist of the Week.
