It’s a fresh take on a breakup anthem that is just as entertaining as it is musically impressive.
Turner is a self-proclaimed “overthinking, overwhelmed musician with a talent in overcomplicating situations,” yet these same traits are likely what makes her such an expressive artist with a profound storytelling ability, and this surely comes through in “Step Mom.”
