By Hunter Craighill

After releasing his debut EP No Love Lost in the fall of last year with Redbull Records, Los Angeles Hip Hop phenom Blxst has rapidly climbed the charts of rap music. One year after the release, he has been nominated for one of the most prestigious awards in the music industry with the BET Awards Best New Hip Hop Artist of the Year. The nomination will come with an exclusive performance across all BET channels.

Blxst’s rise to success came quickly and severely, as he gained the attention of big names in the industry. His deluxe album featured the likes of Ty Dolla $ign and Tyga on the song “Chosen,” which has now earned over 100 million streams on Spotify alone. In addition, he just recently released The Sixtape 2 with Bido Rideaux which has taken the Los Angeles music scene by storm. The sky really is the limit for Blxst as his No Love Lost tour sold out in just seconds. With more projects in the works and the attention of the entire rap world, his name will soon be in the conversation with the biggest in the industry.

In March, The Nuance Magazine featured Blxst as the cover artist of their 9th edition of the publication. Since then, he has become the premiere breakout hip-hop artist in the country, welling out a world tour and receiving a nomination for one of the most renowned awards in hip hop.
