Philadelphia-based artist Alex G has released his new single, “Cross the Sea,” along with an accompanying music video. “Cross the Sea” is one of the tracks off of Alex G’s upcoming album entitled God Save the Animals.

The song starts soft but slowly builds to a steady chorus with a catchy melody. Alex G’s soothing voice echoes an ethereal voice an octave above, which eases the stress and gives the listener immediate escape.

Alex G recently made his live television debut, performing “Runner” on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Watch the performance here.

Alex G has been in the entertainment business for quite a while, beginning his career in 2010. His debut label album, DSU, was released in 2014 and quickly amassed positive reviews from music critics. Alex G’s music is a personal take on lo-fi indie rock, and his new song and album promise to keep giving the fans the intimate connection they want. Alex G’s new album God Save the Animals will be released on September 23rd and is available for pre-save here and a vinyl pre-order here.

Alex G plans to headline a North American Tour this fall from LA to NYC, Chicago, and Boston, before the tour heads over to Europe in Spring 2023. See showtimes below and find tickets here.
