King Lazy Eye displays his striking raw talent on Nuance’s latest N-The-Sticks live performance, taking the trip to Plateau Production Studio in Sewanee to perform tracks “Slow Burn,” “Pretty Okay,” and “Loaded Guns.”
Armed with a guitar and a mic, the singer/songwriter stabs the listener straight in the heart with his unfiltered melancholy, filling intimate space with his soul-scraping delivery and bittersweet melodies.
The performance demonstrates why King Lazy Eye’s music strikes people on a deep emotional level, his unfiltered take on Southern punk and folk having already grown a loyal following who connect with his lyrics about pain, addiction, and yearning for escape.
With so many people going through similar issues, his powerful voice and unflinching lyrics provide a deep catharsis by confronting the darkness honestly–and with a loaded gun.
Despite only a handful of official releases, King Lazy Eye’s music has grown a loyal following, deeply impacting his listeners experiencing difficult times and similar struggles. Born Dylan Wilson, the Santa Fe, TN native, is still finding his way through those woods, working to get back to touring as he deals with ongoing legal issues.
Hopefully, he will find the type of relief his music has provided for others and get back to the studio soon, as King Lazy Eye is a rare talent in the rough.
