(Los Angeles, CA) Shae Brock, a ‘Dream Rock, Laurel Canyon Revival’ independent singer/songwriter, has gone back to her roots. She first unveiled her fresh new sound with single, DNA, inspired by meeting her long-lost sister. The song is an astoundingly new take on a love ballad. It's not very often you get to combine the classic elements from a ballad such as rock-centric, electric guitar-focused melody, and lyrical passion in a message to a never before seen sister.

After working in the mainstream, urban pop world, releasing singles with renowned names such as Gucci Mane and Kodie Shane, Brock has made the decision to go independent and create a new sound authentic to her essence. The single released today, Fools stems from "just friends" to a failed romance scenario, summed up by the Malibu Coastline and a vintage, cherry Benz. “We were soul mates in a past life..” begins the song. Brock says, “old habits die hard, so does old love. You know the saying, ‘fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice well… I’m the fool.” Fools are nostalgic to some of Shae’s muses, Fleetwood Mac and Pat Benatar.
