Bahamian-raised rapper, singer-songwriter Soaky Siren has grazed the Los Angeles music terrain with her unique and fiery sound. Siren’s attitude-induced soulful sound pairs with her soft & illusory note range on much of her work. This inimitable style has already established Siren as a multi-platinum, Latin Grammy-nominated songwriter. With the momentum that her work has created and the tropical influences of the culture that birthed her, Siren continues to establish her own lane as an artist.

Rap had long been a part of Siren’s musical fascination, dating all the way back to her early childhood. By high school, Siren had not only considered herself a rapper but a vocalist, too. Her ability to fluently crossover sounds and genres places her in the rare ranks of those well-versed enough to create everything from urban to dancehall to pop. Since her move to LA, Siren has proven her musical capabilities by co-writing hit songs including Jason Derulo’s “Tip Toe”, Rita Ora and Chris Brown’s “Body on Me”, and much more.

Siren’s first EP entitled “LUCAYA” after Port Lucaya in the Bahamas, discusses the overall tone and energy of this near and dear location. However, Siren’s spin does not represent the stereotypical tropical getaway. Instead, she describes her personal paradise full of an unprivileged and unconventional journey to stardom. Siren’s tenacity and rawness is unique to her journey and sound as listeners heard in her first single, “Kombucha.” This song dives deep into Siren’s wavy and sultry aesthetic. “Kombucha” pairs with her dancehall anthems “Upside Down” and “Quality.” The singles blend dancehall grit with rap producing a showcase of culture and fiery persona. Following these, Siren reveals her silkier side using vivid melodies and vocals to support her edgy storytelling on her latest single ‘Dope Boys’ and ‘Too Like Lie.’

Siren’s newest single to date, titled “M.I.A.” was released on August 7. This track’s underlying Caribbean-Afro beat discusses Siren’s desire to disconnect and become present. As soon as ‘play’ is selected, listeners are welcomed into a vibe-induced anthem of disengagement with an agreeable beat that’s sure to have listeners globally jamming out.
