Former Nuance Cover Artist Seddy Hendrix shines brighter than ever on his new Gangsta Grillz mixtape Well Sed, putting on for Duvall County with his best project to date and cementing Seddy’s status as a fixture in the rising generation of great Southern hip-hop artists.
Seddy’s first project since 2020’s Sayless, the preparation, and energy put into Well Sed is evident by its flawless execution. He finds his pocket and stays in it, delivering a seemingly effortless performance that never misses a beat.
As Seddy put it in a press release, "Well Sed to me means to represent a lifestyle, a way of living that’s well thought out, well put together and Well Sed. A lot of emotions went into making Well Sed. It was a journey, but at end of the day all worth it."
Executive produced by Generation Now labelmate Sonny Digital, Well Sed features Fivio Foreign on the dreamy, 808-gliding “Groovy,” fellow Floridian T-Pain on the sensual “Body 2 Body,” and, of course, DJ Drama’s braggadocious narration throughout, especially over the shimmering e-pianos on the triumphant track “Can’t Go.” The intro “Well Sed” sees Seddy calmly contemplating his place in the game over glistening summer guitar licks, while “Crash Dummies” shows Hendrinx slip seamlessly into a jazz-rap boom-bap instrumental.
Forming his own chapter of the legendary Gansta Grillz series, Seddy displays his effortless flow and melodic talent with a newfound focus, combining gritty lyricism with mesmerizing summer vibes to create sun-drenched visions of perseverance. Executing on a carefully thought-out vision, Hendrinx leaves every verse of his on the project Well Sed.
