Foley, the New Zealand pop music duo, released their new single “Better Than Love,” on February 5th, a great introduction to their new EP, Vacation, which is expected to debut on March 15th. Foley’s team describes the pair as, “...the late-night conversations, not-so-existential crises and the genuinely unbreakable friendship of 20-somethings Ash Wallace and Gabriel Everett. Honest to a fault, Foley has quickly picked up a fanbase of young like-minded listeners for their confessions of love, loss, and learning.”

Their recent single does just that: guide their audience to ignite those difficult conversations surrounding love, closure, and the cautions of falling for others. “We get so caught up in the middle / Trying to work it all out / It’s just easier to keep it simple / Keep the label off us…” Wallace softly sings. “...I get so lost in the middle.”

Despite the vulnerable and honest lyrics, Foley’s bright and poppy 80s sound palette provides an intriguing contrast, making their style dynamic and catchy, brilliant and gleaming. Foley brings their listeners nostalgic dance tracks that are presented in an entirely new way, and are sure to pave the way for future pop.
