Justice Carradine has released his exciting new single "Better Off Alone," off his upcoming debut EP, What a Weird Dream, set for release on September 16th. "Better Off Alone" follows other tracks such as "Tears In My Eyes" and "Okay," both met with intense adoration from Carradine's fans.
"Better Off Alone" is an anthem for people who know their worth when it comes to making friends. Everyone has met someone they didn't click with, to varying degrees of awkwardness. While you may feel the need to smile and say how much you enjoy hanging out with them, that emotional extroversion can take all of your energy. Allowing yourself to be confident and stick up for your feelings can save your time and happiness for people who genuinely deserve your company or even for some alone time.
In this upbeat and groovy track, Carradine discusses how most of the time, it's better to be by yourself than to be with people who make you feel anything but happy. The song begins with an exciting drum line that simultaneously meets Carradine's vocals and a backing guitar track. The "Official Visualizer," which feels more like a full music video, features Carradine in the middle of a grassy field on a beautiful day. Carradine wakes up on a mattress in the said field and walks to a singular door. That door then opens with a nice transition, Carradine walking through a living room. The video is a fun extension of the song that allows the audience to be distracted from life for a few precious minutes.
