Today, JAWNY released his debut major label project titled For Abby via Interscope Records. The multi-instrumental singer/songwriter wrote the entirety of the project from his Los Angeles bedroom, displaying his restless creativity and electric aesthetic through 10 high energy songs.

JAWNY displays his knack for creative wordplay and outlandish humor shines through on tracks like “Sabotage,” which was released in August, and last week’s release of “Trigger of Love.” The October 15 release of “Trigger of Love” followed the release of “Super Bad Mantra” in September, which was met with a fair amount of buzz.

The 10 track concept piece follows the narrative of JAWNY attempting to make amends to a relationship with “Abby.” The intro introduces JAWNY giving Abby a mixtape of her favorite songs in hopes to win her back, and the rest of the project details the process of that attempt. The progression of the projects moves from uptempo bangers like “Super Bad Mantra” to more introspective tunes on the B side with confessional lo-fi tunes such as “When I Fall Apart (Side B Flip")” and “4Tounce.” All in all, the project works together beautifully and transitions through the emotional story seamlessly. It will be interesting to see what the young artist comes up with next.
