Following his newest release, “Solid Gold,” Jay Violet has once again proven himself as a viable newcomer on the underground R&B/Hip-Hop scene. He only began releasing music a little over a year ago, yet he already has a dozen or so singles out, all of which deserve a spot on your common “chill rap” playlist.

Boasting smooth bars and soothing melodies, Jay Violet fits right in with the new wave R&B sound. His DIY production hardly sounds so, and his talent and confidence makes you think he has been doing this for years. With the rate of production he has churned out singles and the steady following he has accrued in just a few short months alone shows the potential he is capable of reaching, but his recent releases seem to hint at an upcoming full length project based on the thematic cover art, groovy sound, and uniform titles. Definitely keep your eyes and ears out for Jay Violet once that project drops and look for him to start popping up on some of your favorite playlists.
