The rap duo BlueBucksClan follow their recent acclaimed EP with a new single, “Just Hit Me.” Hailing from Los Angeles, CA, the group – made of lifelong friends DJ and Jeeezy Obama – emerged in the rap scene in 2019. Receiving praise from Billboard (among many others in the music industry), the group continues to release songs like “Just Hit Me” that is deeply rooted in the West Coast rap tradition.

The newly released song is propelled by a steady synth and cymbal track that acts as the foundation to BlueBucksClan’s rap lyrics streaming over top. The music video, released alongside the song, follows DJ and Jeeezy Obama from the concert stage to backstage to the backseat, relaxing while they discuss the luxury they are now able to afford. The duo is just realizing how incredible their lives have turned out, but even with all the unmistakable privilege they may receive now, they have remained true to themselves.

The video is directed by LewisYouNasty, and showcases the friendship and brotherhood that the duo emanates through their casual, laid-back postures. It gives the video a familiar, comfortable energy that lets the watcher relax and enjoy the performance.
